About Warrior Martial Arts Club

Owner/Instructor Tara Smith

Owner/Instructor Tara Smith has been teaching martial arts since 2000 (as well as teaching seven years in the elementary school system) and in June, 2008 decided to open her own karate school to better serve her students. Warrior Martial Arts Club and After School Academy was created to not only fulfill a dream but to provide quality instruction (with staff like professional kickboxer Steve Mann) as well as much needed after school care.

There's More To Martial Arts

Warrior Martial Arts Club is about more than just taking classes — we proudly support Way of a Champion Foundation(which provides special needs and at risk kids with scholarships for our karate classes) and HHT Awareness, which affects two of our own Warriors. As part of our teaching the values of martial arts, we encourage our students to participate in our charity fundraising events (see pictures in our galleries) and have had many successful and fun times doing so.

Involvement Is A Key Tool

We regularly host/participate in exhibition and regulation kickboxing fights for those students who want more than classes. In addition our students are invited to join our WMAC family at cook-outs, lock-ins and other fun events, in keeping with our family-oriented atmosphere. We strongly believe that involvement is an important learning tool for our students on their martial arts journey, not just achieving belt rankings or the ability to throw a punch. Let us be a part of your and/or your child's journey!
